Background information

Fifteen years ago, Oxford Science and Maths Tutors operated on a somewhat smaller scale than it does now. The only subjects we offered were biology, chemistry, physics, and maths. We tutored in students' own homes, travelled around Oxford by bus, and people got to hear of us primarily by word of mouth. From those humble beginnings we have grown by providing consistently high quality tuition, and a "no-frills" approach.

We now accept students for full time A-level courses (both first time and retakes), and we run popular holiday revision courses. Despite keeping our original name, we cover subjects as diverse as film studies, philosophy, psychology, and Russian - in fact most traditional, and many not so traditional school subjects.

Nowadays we have teaching premises in the city centre, and our students come from a much wider geographical area. They are drawn not just from Oxford, but also from surrounding towns and villages, from the rest of the country, and even a small number from overseas.

Nevertheless, traces of our roots can still be found. We still retain tremendous expertise in the teaching of maths, the natural sciences, and other core academic subjects. Also we continue to provide a wide range of tutorial services for students who attend local schools. And if we need to discuss progress with parents, we are still happy to get on the bus and pay them a visit!
