Day schools

On many Saturdays and Sundays during the year, we run day schools on selected topics. These topics are chosen either because they are particulary important, or because students tend to find tthem difficult. Whatever the topic, a whole day is devoted to exploring it in depth - that is, explaining the basic facts and principles, and practicing questions. So in physics, for example there could be a dayschool on basic electricity, in English on a particular play, or in psychology one on research methods.

Because each day school is a one-off, self-contained event, i.e. does not involve a weekly commitment, and lasts for the whole day, it is perfectly feasible to travel some distance - for instance from London or Birmingham - to get to one for a topic on which a student really wants help.
