Experienced tutors providing high quality tuition
All subjects
As an alternative to individual tuition, we run evening classes aimed mainly at GCSE and A-level students. Depending on demand, we can sometimes do this for younger pupils. The idea is that a student comes along regularly each week, and is taught as part of a small group (perhaps two to six people).
Classes are arranged so that all the students are at a similar level and are following a similar specification. For instance two A-level maths students in the same year could be in the same class because they would have to cover similar material regardless of the examination board. But two history students couldn't be if they are studying different periods.
Over a period of time we cover all the major topics, iron out problems, and do plenty of practice on questions to prepare for the exam.
As well as costing less than one to one tuition, a class like this has all the advantages of an interactive environment, but is small enough for students to receive plenty of individual attention. The main drawback, of course, is that they are not so flexible. If a student is ill, a one to one lessons can be rearranged without any problems - but it's not so easy with a class.
Nevertheless, we have found that these classes work very well indeed and have proved extremely beneficial for many students.
