Resit A-levels in November

For students who do not wish to take a whole year resitting A-levels it is possible to resit in November.

November resits are appropriate if the amount of work required does not justify taking a whole year on resits. This could be if, for example, you basically know the material but underperformed in the exam or missed papers through illness. Or if there is only one subject you wish to resit. Or if you only just missed your target grades. It is dificult to say where the dividing line should be as so much depends on individual circumstances and we make no hard and fast rules about this. If for example you achieved a grade C in Maths and you want to push it up to an A, then doing that by November is a realistic aim. On the other hand, if you got two Es and a U, you wish to retake all three subjects, and you need significantly higher grades, we would suggest you should probably take a full year.

- extremely intensive course

- mixture of one-to-one and small-group tuition

- flexibility and adaptation to individual needs

- emphasis on facts, principles, and exam technique

- lots of practice on exam and exam-style questions
