Experienced tutors providing high quality tuition
All subjects
Thanks so much for all the work you both put in with all the extra lessons. It really paid off especially with biology coming from a C to an A, rescuing my maths which could have been a disaster and pushing on my chemistry. Have decided against the dentistry and am thinking of doing chemical engineering at university. I Haven't quite decided yet though…
Ruth, Thame
Ruth obtained BCC at AS level. She came regularly to our AS repair classes, then attended similar classes for A2, and ended up with AAB for her A-levels]
Dear Ms Black,
My son, [name removed], had some extra coaching in Physics and Chemistry with your college this Easter. His predicted grades were D in each before: he managed an A for Physics and A* for Chemistry. One of the tutors also kindly arranged some Russian conversation for him: he managed an A* for Russian. Although he does attend [name of school removed], and already had three subjects at A* from the previous year (Latin, Greek and French) so perhaps he is not quite the run of the mill student, I think your college can take a good deal of credit for these spectacular results.[...]. Please do pass on the good news to those concerned: they did a great deal of work for this!
Mrs AB, Oxford
Many thanks for your help – I know she has spoken to you – we were delighted with her results and hopefully her confidence will grow!
Mrs HS, Oxford
Mrs HS is referring to her daughter, who had a disappointing result (including a grade U in one module) in her maths mock exam at school. After an Easter revision course with us, combined with some one to one tuition, she achieved an A in her real A-level just three months later.
I now have 3 As in English, Dutch and Maths and a B in History. This means I have met all my university offers and I will be going to read English and Politics at York University in September! [...] I am absolutely sure that I would never have been able to get an A in Maths without your tuition so I really want to thank you for all you help and patience! I hope you (and all the other tutors) are well and that you are happy to hear this news.
Daisy, Oxford
Daisy obtained a grade C in maths at AS level. After attending our AS repair classes, and then further classes until June, she achieved a grade A in the full A-level (it would actually have been an A* if that grade had existed back then).
I would like to say a really big thank you for getting Sofia well on the way with her maths at Easter. Her AS results came out today and she recieved an A. 91 out of a 100 in her core maths and 81 in mechanics. She is realy excited. many thanks again!
Mrs VL, GLOS
Mrs VL's daughter was worried about the C2 and M1 units of AS maths. She attended our Easter revision course before exams, and achieved the results mentioned in the email.
Thank you for all the tuition that you gave [name removed] with her Chemistry. I am delighted, but still very pleasantly surprised, that she got a B. How she managed it I do not know. I am sure that all your help was invaluable. You may have heard that she has been offered a place at Leeds , for 2010. Once again many thanks for all your help which I feel did the trick.
Mr RG, Banbury
I don't know if [name removed] has already updated you but, if not, just to let you know she got a place at Cambridge [...] so many thanks for your contribution to this.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PARENTS
I found Oxford Science and Maths Tutors after a web search and will be eternally grateful. I have three boys who are all quite sharp but were not achieving their potential. The tutor developed a rapport with them and was quick to assess their individual needs. He was equally good at steady reinforcement and confidence building as he was at identifying key areas that needed clarification and not labouring the points. In short, the individualised approach worked magic. Many thanks from us all.
Mrs AM, BUCKS
Zed came personally recommended to us and has proved to be excellent. He assessed our son's ability & learning style very quickly, and the gaps in his knowledge. Zed got our son both engaged and motivated in a way that school had failed to do. He takes a personal interest in his students doing well and will fit in extra sessions with them at strategic points in the year even though he has many other students. He is also thoroughly familiar with the examining boards and able to advise competently in what order re-sits should be tackled, willingly providing advice for parents.
